Here are mine and the reasons they’re top-class:
Bug: Heracross – it can take down many Psychics
and even Blissey
Foretress – it is a great physical wall
Dark: Umbreon – it makes a great annoyer/tank
Weavile – a good physical attacker as long as it has a Focus Sash
Dragon: SALAMENCE!!!! – just try countering it with a Choice Band and watch the magic – or visit this link: http://www.serebii.net/potw-dp/373.shtml
Dragonite – is a great physical attacker
Electric: Magnezone – resists Bolt-Beam and has Magnet Rise
Jolteon – its Speed makes it a good Annoyer
Fighting: Lucario – great sweeping abilities and moveset
Machamp – can take a beating considerably well for a Fighting-type while hitting hard with No Guard/Dynamicpunch
Fire: Charizard – because of Bellyzard
Infernape – fantastic, quick OHKOs
Flying: Mantine – awesome Special Wall
Swellow – good combos and Speed
Ghost: Mismagius – can use Bolt-Beam-Thrower
Spiritomb – a wicked weakness-less annoyer
Grass: Torterra – a two-in-one physical sweeper/wall!
Leafeon – a good healer and physical wall
Ground: Flygon – can use Roost without worry and has acess to Flamethrower
Swampert – a superb, bulky dual-type with only one weakness and the ability to suck up almost all attacks reasonably well
Ice: Jynx – a good, well-rounded dual-type
Mamoswine – a combo king waiting to happen

Slaking – a hard call between it and Porygon-Z, but a Choice Band Slaking is a massive threat
Poison: Weezing – my favorite Explosion/Destiny Bonder of all time!
Drapion – another tough decision, but I finally crossed out Crobat for this combo champ with only one weakness
Psychic: Metagross – with Choice Band, Choice Scarf or Magnet Rise, a totally awesome choice with only two weaknesses
Alakazam – great kamakaze powers (lol)
Rock: Tyranitar – a threat to almost any team out there, plus the bonus of Sand Stream thrown in
Omastar – can set up Spikes and Toxic while absorbing hits
Steel: Skarmory – a great little Pokemon which can use Spikes or be the best defensive wall you’ve ever seen or your money back! ^_^
Scizor – with the right moves it is a powerhouse
Water: Starmie – with Bolt-Beam, Surf and Psychic is practically invincible, plus able to suck up many attacks
Empoleon – good typing, unfortunately lacks a good defensive/recovery move, but still a good wall

Electivire: with a Fighting, Electric, Ground an Ice move, it can counter 13 types with super-effective damage, and no types resist that combo! It also has an awesome 300+ Attack stat.
